What is Together in Action?
It is the mercy we receive from christ manifested in merciful actions towards aid others. It is we, the Catholics of Southern Alberta, working together to make lives better for all citizens locally, nationally and internationally. Out of the gifts given to us by the Lord, we give sacrificially to show mercy to others.
Why? Giving as a faith community and giving back to God reminds us that He has given us everything we have.
Who? We, as Catholic brothers and sisters, come together to manifest the mercy we receive from Christ to our neighbours.
How? Respond to the call with a gift, joining with your fellow parishioners, your fellow Catholics of Southern Alberta. Give sacrificially, act out your faith, join us Together in Action.
How much should I give?
Planned giving is a faith response.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary can help you make your gift planned, proportionate and sacrificial through the establishment of an endowment, the purchase of a life insurance policy or a bequest within your will.
There are many diocesan programs and initiatives in need of financial assistance.
These include continuing education of priests, family life programs, education of seminarians, support for retired priests, youth ministry, health care for the aged, missionary work, Catholic Charities, Elizabeth House, Feed the Hungry and capital projects such as land acquisition for new parishes.
Getting started is the most difficult part about making a will.
